SAKDIYAH MA'RUF

Sakdiyah Ma’ruf is an award-winning stand-up comedian. Born into a very conservative family, Sakdiyah uses comedy to challenge gender norms and religious extremism. She has gained international recognition, including the Vaclav Havel Prize for Creative Dissent at the Oslo Freedom Forum, BBC’S 100 Women list, and Cultural Frontline’s 12 Artists that Changed the World.
